Drawn by Glass - Mosaic Art by Miriam Kaye

Glass Mosaic work by **Miriam Kaye** titled, ***Drawn by Glass,*** will be exhibited in the **Neil Hammer Gallery** of the **Meekins Library** for **September**. Kaye has been recreating found objects for years, employing stained glass, mother of pearl, beads and mirror pieces to frame evocative animal images or to reimagine a teapot, bowl or platter into unique designs. Kaye whose works are in permanent and private collections is also known for her painting, painted and mosaic furniture, pottery, fabric sculptures, as well as paper and cardboard objects of art. **While visiting** ***Drawn by Glass*** **we also recommend viewing two brocaded quilts created by Miriam Kaye on permanent display** **in the Black Reading Room and the Riverside Room.
