Crafting a holiday wreath from botanicals

Date/Time

Location

Berkshire Botanical Garden (5 West Stockbridge Road, Stockbridge, MA 01262, Stockbridge MA)

Berkshire Botanical Farden will hold a hands-on workshop in making balsam wreaths for the holidays with natural elements.

Chris Ferrero will lead this class, starting with a slide program introducing principles, techniques and creative ideas. Then participants will be assigned workstations in the same studio used by BBG’s own wreath designers, several of whom will be on hand to help you select materials and practice optimal construction skills. Experience with a hot glue gun is recommended.

“Completion of this program will prepare you to become a BBG Wreath Designer,” BBG says.

Chris Ferrero is a gardening speaker, writer and consultant. She is a Cornell Master Gardener from Dutchess County, N.Y., where in addition to speaking and teaching classes, she has led demonstration garden renovations, organized regional events and served on teams as a perennials specialist known for particular expertise in shade gardening, flowering shrubs, pollinator-approved planting designs, and native plants as alternatives to invasives.
