Complicated Comedies

These seven excellent short films run the gamut of what the comedy genre can contain: from the absurd to the cringey, from the relatable to the discomforting — there’s even a couple of solid jump scares in here. ABB is a great place to kick off this year’s festival - especially if you happen to enjoy beer - and the pizza oven out back will be open, too! This screening will be followed by a talkback with attending filmmakers, and includes the films (not necessarily screening in this order):
