Sculptor and graphic artist B.Z. Reily was the senior art educator at Eric Carle Museum & instigator of many community art projects. Micha Archer is an award-winning picture book author & illustrator. Both share an interest in the colorful whimsy of juxtaposing images and text in 3D and graphic art. They will display individual & collaborative work. They are joined by Archer's son, Max Strong, whose assemblages trace his world travels, tight and congested observations on urbanization's effect on the world.
___
___
Archer will show her wild journey of bringing words to life in children's books (her own and other author's) using collages with homemade and found papers. Reily's work incorporates words and images in 3-D wall sculptures, assemblages, artist books, and collages. Strong aims to fill his canvas with momentary collages and ceiling-mounted artworks to capture the complex and vibrant stratums of urban life over our ever-crowed world.
