Art Walk Easthampton: Julia Shirar @ Easthampton City Arts Gallery

Shirar’s exhibition at ECA Gallery will include a selection of paintings of people in and around Western Massachusetts. Many of them began as part of a residency at Looky Here, an artists’ organization in Greenfield, where the artist spent eight weeks making portraits of volunteers from the area. All paintings included in this exhibition are made from observation and memory on locally salvaged materials.

Art Walk occurs on September 14, 5-8 PM. The exhibition is also on view throughout the month and open Wed. and Fri., 12 to 2 pm.
