Ring in the fall by celebrating new exhibitions at the Mead Art Museum (Amherst College) with free food and drink and free admission. Currently on view: "Part of an Impossible Task," sculptural work by celebrated artist Michael Rakowitz that examines how power is defined through cultural artifacts; "The Juncture," highlighting three groundbreaking Modernists who emerged in 20th c Ukraine; and "Re/Presenting: Art Beyond the Color Line," an interactive and educational exhibition about learning to depict yourself and others.

The Mead is located steps away from the Amherst Town Common, and just off the Amherst College PVTA stop on the 31, 38, and B43 buses, and extremely close to the 33 and 45 lines. Parking on campus is free to the public after 4:30pm on weekdays.
